New Opening Hours for 2025
The Flaxman Cellar Door and Winery opening hours will be changing in 2025. Sundays will move to 'By Appointment Only'. You’re still welcome to book a lunch or wine tasting, but if there are no bookings, the Cellar Door & Winery will be closed, The new times will be:
Thursday & Friday - 12 to 4pm | Saturday 11am to 5pm | Sunday - By Appointment only

2005 Fortified Riesling - Cellar Door Only
Absolute deliciousness in a glass. For 18 years this fortified Riesling has been resting in barrel, gaining complexity and slowly turning into that classic tawny colour. 2005 was a wonderful vintage and we are proud to offer you a truly unique wine from that vintage. Available for tasting and purchase in our Cellar Door & Winery or online.

2023 Chardonnay
The wait is over and our 2023 Chardonnay is back in stock, just in time for Summer and the resounding tasting note, is, absolutely delicious.
Pale stone fruits with a little oak-spice and a subtle hint of lemon rind in the background. The palate shows a measured and bright fruit sweetness, wild honey and riper nectarines and a little oak purely playing a supporting role - drinking beautifully now and will be a beautiful drop if you can put some in the cellar.

2023 Grenache - Cellar Door Only
When presented with the opportunity to choose some Grenache from a block planted with cuttings from eight of the best Grenache blocks in the country, how could Colin possible say no!
It was a tough decision to choose just one clone, but after walking the rows and tasting the fruit over and over, Colin had a definite favourite. He is confident you will enjoy my choice too. This wine is showing beautiful red fruit characters, with a medium weight palate. Grenache is such a wonderful food pairing wine and goes with so many choices. The suggested dishes are penne matriciana & red curry duck. Available for sale in the Cellar Door & Winery only.

FiHi. I look after these two boys, and it's a tough job, but someone has to do it. I'm a bit of a jack of all trades around here, so on my days off, I can be found in the office working on the website, doing the bookwork, marketing, and helping out in the vineyard and winery when and where I am needed. I look forward to welcoming you to our Cellar Door or hosting you for a long leisurely lunch.
GusI'm Gus, I'm 14 years young and the Cellar Door Manager here. I'll be here to greet you when you arrive and won't let you leave until I have won you over. I am also Fiona's shadow. Where she goes, I go and I also don't mind a little with Col out in the vineyard during vintage also (when Fiona is there). I love getting caught in the nets during picking time, enjoy eating the odd grape or two, but I mainly love to be around people (Fiona) and meeting guests. I look forward to seeing you at our cellar door sometime soon.
ColI'm Col. A Builder turned winemaker who also happens to enjoy cooking too. I'm the lucky person who rarely feels like I go to work, and I guess when you are indulging your passions, how can it feel like work? As they say, luck favours the brave, and it was our bold leap of faith that has us living in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Come and say hi, and you will understand why I will never work another day in my life.
